The Base of the reel is fixed to the built in reel mount on the Pathos handles with 2 screws (Comes with reel) to ensure a strong mount.
The drag system screws into an internal metal thread, inside the spool, which minimises the risk of overheating and melting the reel. The spool is semi closed.
This particular reel holds 40m of 2mm dyneema or spetra.
